ABOUT
Cedric Nabe is an inspiring Swiss professional athlete and the current Swiss 100M champion. Cedric was born to Congolese parents in Geneva, Switzerland, where he developed his passion for athletics. His most recent accomplishment was qualifying for the 2009 World Athletics Championship 100M competition in Berlin, Germany. As the only Swiss athlete to have qualified for the 100M race, he did this through discipline, self-motivation and confidence while working as a full time employee for Deloitte & Touche.
Cedric has enjoyed a significant amount of national and international media coverage for his athletic career thus far. All of the major Swiss media have covered Cedric’s success story such as Le Temps, Tribune de Genève, Le Matin, TSR, TSR2, RSR, 20Minutes, Swiss Athletics, SF Sport, WeltklasseZuerich. The international coverage includes Business Week, BW, NBC Olympics, The ACC , Seminoles.com, FSU.edu among other media outlets in the US.
Cedric began his athletic career in 2001 with the Stade de Genève Club, where he won several Swiss ‘Junior’ and ‘Espoir’ 100M and 200M championships and set several Geneva and Swiss athletic records between 2002-2004. He also qualified for the World Junior Athletics Championships where he reached semi finals in July 2002.
In 2004, Cedric received a full athletic scholarship with Florida State University (USA) where he won several awards including the track Team Captain, academic honors and Student of the Year. In May 2008 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and began working for Deloitte & Touche in Miami, Florida.
