Video: Swiss Championship 100M Final, Video from Swiss German TV (2:35)
After consulting a couple of experienced athlete friends, I decided not to run this week-end. I was going to try and break the Swiss record (10.16) at the Fribourg Swiss-Meeting this Saturday August the 8th, but my legs are still tired from last week-end (Swiss Championships). I believe it is the wisest decision. Sometimes it is better to be patient and not rush into things.

Heats of the 100M @ Swiss Championships (08/01/09)
I have exactly 11 days until the 100M heats and quarter-final. Here is the timetable of the World Championship. I am flying to Berlin (Germany) on August the 12th. Until then it’s training, resting and eating
.
I did it. Saturday, August the 1st I won my first 100M Swiss Championship title. It was a long journey but it is just the beginning. I didn’t run anything super-fast (10.41 into a -0.6) but I am satisfied with the end result. I was still tired and recovering from the jet lag and the lack of sleep. I managed throughout the rounds to save energy by staying relax and not pushing hard (that’s why the times were fairly slower than what i could have run). Links to the results here and videos coming soon.
Thanks to you all for your love and support.
Next race: August the 8th

Saturday August the 1st, I will be running the 100M and attempting to win my first senior Swiss Champion title. I won the Junior and the Under 23 titles many times but was never able to win the senior title. This will also be a good test to see in what kind of shape I am two weeks before the World Championship. My last race was June the 14th in Miami (10.28). I feel very good despite the long trip and the hours spent at the airports in-between flights. I have been resting, enjoying the family and my mom’s food
. The Swiss Championship will take place in Zurich which is about three hours away from Geneva.
Here is the link to the Swiss Championship organisator’s website. I have three rounds of the 100M on Saturday and two rounds of the 200M. My main goal will be to win the 100M title. I will keep my readers posted on my results. Keep me in your prayers
